Order by duct opening size. "10x6" means a 10" × 6" duct opening (the hole in your wall, ceiling, or floor). The overall face size of this 10x6 slim linear slot diffuser is 12" × 8" — that’s the visible cover, not the measurement to match.

2. What makes the Slim Design different from a standard 10x6 linear slot diffuser?

The Slim Series has a neck depth of only 1-1/4" from the face surface. Standard linear slot diffusers have a taller neck that requires more depth inside the duct cavity. If your wall, ceiling, or floor has a shallow duct cavity — common in older homes, thin partition walls, or low-depth ceiling builds — the standard model will not fit. 5. Does it come with an airflow damper?

6. Will it work with both supply and return openings?

Yes for supply air. For return air, this diffuser also works — but note that the slot face is narrower than a typical louvered return grille. 7. Can I use a filter with this vent cover?

8. Can this be installed outdoors?
