Is 6x10 the same as 10x6?
Yes — same 6" × 10" duct opening, just a different number order used by different retailers.
My duct cavity is shallow. Will this actually fit?
Yes — that's what the Slim Series is for. It needs only 1-1/4" of depth behind the wall or ceiling, versus the taller neck on standard diffusers.
Does it work for return air too?
Yes for light-duty return air. For higher-volume returns, use a 6x10 return grille with pre-filter instead — this diffuser isn't filter-compatible.
Can I use a filter with this vent cover?
No — filters belong at the air handler, not the vent. A filter here restricts airflow and strains your HVAC system.
What size do I order — 6x10 or the face size?
Order by duct opening size (6" × 10"). The visible face is 12" × 8" — that's not what you measure.
