Not sure if your 4x10 duct opening is a register or a return? Run your HVAC fan and hold a strip of paper near the opening — air pulling the paper in means you need a return grille (this line); air pushing the paper away means you need a register instead. A return should never have a damper — that's what separates this line from Green Vent's Aluminum Floor Register.
