Green Vent designs, sources, and sells the vent covers, registers, and grilles that most of the guides on this site are about. That's why we hold our own content to a plain standard: every spec should be traceable, every claim should be something we could show you, and every mistake gets fixed in the open. This page explains who writes what you're reading, how we check it, and what to do if we got something wrong.

Who Writes This

Content on greenvent.us is published under the Green Vent Editorial Team byline — the people who work directly with our product development, sourcing, and day-to-day store operations, not an outside agency writing about products they've never handled.

Every article shows its author and its last-updated date directly below the headline, so you can see how current the information is before you rely on it.

How We Fact-Check

• Product specs — duct opening, neck size, face size, weight, material — come from our own manufacturing documentation and get checked against the live product listing before anything is published.
• Installation and airflow guidance is checked against how we actually build and test these products, cross-referenced with recognized HVAC engineering sources.
• If we can't trace a number back to a real source, it doesn't go on the page. We mark it as unavailable instead of estimating.
• Comparison content states our products' real limits, even when that means pointing you elsewhere. Our guide on return air filter grilles versus standard return grilles, for example, says plainly that Green Vent doesn't sell a true filter grille built to hold a replaceable MERV-rated filter — because it doesn't.

Our Use of AI

Our team uses AI tools to help with research, organizing data, and drafting — the same way a writer might use a search engine or a spreadsheet.

• Every piece is read, checked against real product data, and approved by someone on our team before it's published. AI doesn't have the final say on anything that goes live.
• We don't publish AI-generated content that hasn't been reviewed by a person.
• Specs, prices, and product details always come from our own data — the manufacturing sheet or the live listing — never from an AI's best guess.

Sources We Use

• Primary: Green Vent's own manufacturing specifications and product testing.
• Secondary: recognized HVAC and building-science references, plus installation standards published by equipment manufacturers.
• We don't use invented statistics or fabricated case studies, from AI or from anywhere else.

Corrections

Found something wrong? Email us at info@greenvent.us.

We review every report. If a page needs a fix, we update it and change the "Updated" date shown at the top — we don't quietly edit a page and pretend the error never happened.

What We Don't Do

• We don't claim a certification we can't produce documentation for.
• We don't copy competitor content.
• We don't run paid placements disguised as editorial content.
